Chemical Peels

Treatment stages

Before performing the procedure, I conduct consultations to set expectations, describe possible side effects that may occur, and describe the course of the procedure. During the consultation before the procedure, I conduct a detailed interview regarding the patient’s health condition and past diseases, viral infections, and medications used – both orally and externally.

In the first stage of the treatment, make-up removal is performed and the skin is washed with an alcoholic preparation (pre-peel). Then, the sensitive parts of the skin and moles are protected with a greasy cream. After that, a previously selected peeling is applied to the treatment site. When starting the acid application, start to count down the amount of time the acid is exposed to the skin. Then the acid is neutralized – if necessary. Later, the skin is washed with cold water to eliminate the burning effect as a whole. Finally, a soothing mask and sunscreen are applied.
